The arrest report has been released for the Texas man who was driving a 2017 Lamborghini Huracan that struck and killed a moped driver on June 5 near Russell Road and Rogers Street.

The car’s driver, Andrew James Rodriguez, 33-year-old from New Braunfels, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing death, reckless driving and driving without a valid license.

According to the arrest report, “the Lamborghini collided with the rear of the moped with such force that the moped became lodged under the right front of the Lamborghini.”

The Clark County coroner has identified the moped rider as 58-year-old Walter Richard Anderson of Las Vegas. Cause of death was blunt trauma.

Rodriguez was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of DUI causing death, reckless driving.
