Search and rescue is getting some much-needed help from a trained dog named Oreo in their search for missing victims in the recent Florida building collapse.

Oreo, is with a group out of Mexico called Cardena and is specifically trained to sniff out people who may be buried under rubble.

The pup’s been working non-stop since Friday to help find some of the more than 150 people who are still unaccounted for after a condominium collapse.

Even though crews are also using advanced technology like sonar to detect missing people, unfortunately, the rescuers haven’t pulled anyone out of the rubble alive since the first day of searching.

This is Oreo specialty.

“Actually she can go wherever she wants. That’s one of the advantages of Oreo’s size. That’s why I like it very much because it can go into voices that bigger dogs could not manage to go.” said Oreo’s Dog Handler, Moises Soffer

“Also because of Oreo’s weight she can go to other places that have more instability that other dogs cannot go.”
