TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing and killing his father in Tempe Friday night.

According to court paperwork obtained by Arizona’s Family, officers responded to a parking lot in the area of Rural and Ray roads just after 8 p.m. for a report of an injured man. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the man unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead. An autopsy showed he had over 10 stab wounds on his body.

Shortly after the incident, Chandler police received a nearby report of a man driving recklessly. Officers were able to locate the driver, 20-year-old Joshua Fox, a short time later. Fox was found with a weapon that appeared to have been used in the murder of his father, police said.

After medical treatment, Fox told police that he was in an argument with his dad before the stabbing happened. Fox told police he blacked out during the argument and was “triggered.” The 20-year-old has been charged with 2nd-degree murder.
